The company was acquired in 2007 by IRIS Software to include as part of its IRIS Healthcare Solutions portfolio. The Maclean McNicoll philosophy is to keep the GP Accounts package as easy to use as possible whilst providing the cashbook and NHS income recording facilities that most busy GPs and Practice Managers will need. In addition to feedback from practices, we have also taken advice from a number of accountancy firms. We work closely with Dr Ferguson who supplies the very popular Ferguson GP Payroll software to provide seamless links between the two programs. Ferguson GP Payroll is also part of IRIS Healthcare Solutions.
GP Accounts now includes a download facility linked to the NHSIA Open Exeter website; allowing NHS payment statements to be directly imported into the IRIS GP Accounts package.
